Traill’s Pass , we will provide you with the ultimate guide to preparing for this epic adventure, including training tips, gear recommendations, and a brief itinerary.
Pindari Kanda Traill’s Pass is located in the high Himalayan region of Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 5312 m, midway between Nanda Devi and Nanda Kot Peak. This adventurous journey starts from Khati village in Pindar Valley and ends at Lilam village in Johar Valley. The most difficult point during this journey is between Pindari Glacier and Lavan Gad Glacier beyond zero point.

Trails Pass Expedition is a challenging and rewarding trek that connects the Pindari Valley to the Milam Valley in the Kumaon Himalayas of Uttarakhand, India. The trek takes you through the Pindari ice-fall and requires special permits and peak expedition-like preparedness.
In the year 1930, this pass was first opened by the second Kumaon Commissioner William Trails along with Mr. Malak Singh, a resident of Supi village. Inspired by his availability, William Trails, as a gift, appointed Malak ji as Patwari of Malla Danpur. You can find evidence of this in the history of Kumaon.
This trekking expedition requires basic mountaineering skills and good experience of high altitude trekking. The glaciers on either side of the pass give rise to large rivers like Pindar from Pindari Glacier and Gori Ganga from Lwan glacier (Gad).
