Dharchula is considered as the base camp for the beginning of this journey, after obtaining necessary permissions from Dharchula, you move towards your destination via Tawaghat, Narayan Ashram. Although this valley is now connected with road facilities, trekking is now limited to name only. Following are the main sightseeing places during this journey.

Adi Kailash Om Parvat Best Time To Visit
The best time for this journey is from May to June during summers and from September to October after the rainy season ends. During the rainy season, roads get blocked due to landslides, and during winter, traffic gets blocked due to heavy snowfall.
How To Reach Adi Kailash Om Parvat ?
For this journey you first have to reach Dharchula. it’s a small town situated on the Nepal border, after reaching here you have to obtain permission for further travel. To reach Dharchula, we are sharing some important information with you.
- By Air – If you are traveling by air, Pantnagar Airport is the nearest airport. From here you can take a taxi to travel further to Dharchula. The distance of Dharchula from Pantnagar Airport is approximately 330 kilometers. Which takes about 8-9 hours to complete. Although Pithoragarh also has an airport, it is still not easily available to the general public.
- By Train – If you are traveling by train, Kathgodam Railway Station is the last railway station for this journey. For further journeys from here you have to take a taxi. The distance from Kathgodam Railway Station to Dharchula is approximately 280 kilometers, this distance can be covered in about 8-9 hours.
- By Bus – If you want to travel by bus, there is a direct bus facility for Dharchula from Delhi Anand Vihar Bus Terminal. And if you are traveling from any other city then you have to come to Haldwani first, from there onwards you can take a bus to Dharchula or Pithoragarh.
- Self Drive – If you are traveling by your own car then you can reach Dharchula via Tanakpur or Pithoragarh route. If you are coming from Delhi then you should follow Nainital road. You can take help of Google Map for the remaining journey.
