Dhakuri Top is located at an altitude of about 3000 meters on the hill top between Karmi village and Dhoor village in Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand. How to reach Dhakuri Top?
The nearest road facilities to reach Dhakuri Top are available through Dhoor and Kharkiya. From here to Dhakuri one has to walk about 4 kilometers. If you want to start this journey from Karmi or Pethi village, both these villages are also connected by road facilities. Since Kharkiya is the nearest road head of this journey, we are sharing further the directions to reach Kharkiya.
By Air -If you are traveling by air then Pant Nagar Airport is the nearest airport. From here you can take a taxi for further travel. The distance from Pantnagar Airport to Kharkiya is about 270 kilometers, which can be covered in 8-9 hours.
By Train – If you are traveling by train, Kathgodam Railway Station is the last train stop for this journey, from here onwards you can reach Bageshwar via taxi or bus. One can easily avail bus facility or taxi to Bageshwar from nearby Kathgodam or Haldwani bus stand. If you want, you can also take a taxi directly to Kharkiya. The distance from Kathgodam to Kharkiya is about 210 kilometers, which can be covered within 7 hours.
By Bus – If you are traveling by bus, Bageshwar bus stand is well connected with bus facilities, there is daily bus facility from Delhi Anand Vihar bus stand to Bageshwar. Also, Haldwani city is connected to all the main cities of North India through bus facility. The distance from Bageshwar to Kharkiya is about 70 kilometers, which can be covered in about 3 hours.
Self Driving – If you are traveling by driving yourself, then you will have to take the Nainital, Bhimtal route till Kathgodam. From here onwards you can reach Kharkiya via Bhimtal, Bhowali, Khairna, Almora, Binsar, Bageshwar, Kapkot, Karmi.
